Orange is a really under-appreciated color. I really started liking it a lot more when I came to Japan and found out their egg yolks are orange (due to the diet) and much more tasty that way. 😉

Thanks. Funny about the egg yolks – in some places of Mexico the chickens are fed marigolds, which is a very plentiful flower here because it’s used for many purposes, one of them being to turn the yolks more orange!
My son and his wife, who live in Australia, just returned from a snowboarding/cultural tour in Japan. They loved it, and are hoping to go again!

Beautiful! I thought the Dutch knew about orange, but that’s only a couple of days per year. In Mexico it is year round!

  Yes, it’s year round vibrant color in Mexico. Most of the buildings are made of cement, so the walls beg not to be gray, so why not bright yellow, fuchsia, intense blue with lime green trim, orange with blue trim…..the possibilities are endless!
  Women’s clothing, especially that of the indigenous people is also gorgeous and full of bright colors.

    The King’s family is the House of Orange, King’s day is completely orange and with all regional and international sports games, the Dutch will be dressed in orange.

Thanks! A young woman from the Netherlands attended our college in Alaska a few years ago, and I remember her showing us photos of everyone dressed in orange. It was quite festive!
